Dear Families,
It has been wonderful getting to know your children over these first two weeks of school. We are already building routines, making connections, and settling into our Grade 4 classroom community.
My goal is to help students take ownership of their learning, enjoy the learning process, and develop resilience as they face new challenges. I strive to create a welcoming environment where every child feels safe, valued, and capable of success.
If you have any questions, concerns, or information you'd like to share, please reach out. We work best as a team, and I value open communication. The best way to contact me is by email at bksidhu@cbe.ab.ca. I check email Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. and do my best to respond within 24 hours. Meetings before or after school can also be arranged as needed.
I look forward to a fantastic year of learning and growth together!
Sincerely,
Ms. Babley Sidhu

Dear Parent, Mummy, Daddy, Dad, Mom, Brother, Step-Dad, Bro, Family, Loved Ones,
We drew our self portraits. We made ourselves into cartoon characters. We had so much fun making our characters. We had a drawing guide and chose different eyes, face shape, nose, and hair. The drawing guide made it easy. We finished by tracing with sharpie markers and some added students added colour. We also picked a word that describes our personality, like goofy, athletic, funny. One kid chose Chicken and we think he really meant Funny. When you come into the school you can see it.
We read and listened to a book by Lebron James, called I Promise. Then we brainstormed ideas to have a great year. We came up with a list of 11 promises. One of our promises is to take care of school equipment. Sadly, someone in our class broke our stationary bike. A bike that we use for movement breaks in our classroom. A couple students tried to fix the bike but they couldn’t.
Sincerely,
Grade 4
