Dear Glenbrook Families,
As we wrap up the month of January, we want to extend our gratitude for the energy, enthusiasm, and resilience your children have brought into the new year. January can feel long and cold in Calgary, but inside Glenbrook School it has been filled with rich learning, fresh starts, and a wonderful sense of community.
Looking ahead, February brings one of our favourite celebrations — Family Day. This time of year reminds us of the importance of connection, care, and the people who support us most. Whether your long weekend is filled with adventure or simply cozy time at home, we hope it offers a meaningful pause to enjoy one another.
As we move into a new month, we hold close a simple word of wisdom:
“Small moments of connection build strong communities.”
Thank you for being part of the Glenbrook community and for the many ways you support student learning and well-being each day. We look forward to a wonderful February together.
Warm regards,
Cindy & Tracey
Staffing Update
It is with mixed emotions that we share that Tracey Bombard will be moving to Griffiths Woods School as the new Assistant Principal, effective Monday, February 9, 2026. Words from Assistant Principal Bombard are included below.
We will begin the process of finding a new Assistant Principal for our Glenbrook community in the coming weeks and will share updates once a decision has been made.
A Message from Assistant Principal Tracey Bombard
Dear Glenbrook Families,
It is with mixed emotions that I write this letter today.
I wanted to let you know personally of my decision to accept an Assistant Principal position at Griffith Woods School, effective February 9, 2026. It is so hard to leave the Glenbrook family and the many connections I have made over the years with students, families, and staff, yet I am excited for the opportunities that lie ahead.
Serving you as Assistant Principal of Glenbrook School has been a great honour and a defining part of my personal and professional life. When I was appointed in 2022, I knew that I was joining a truly wonderful school. These four years could not have been more rewarding.
It has been a privilege to partner with such dedicated parents, staff, and students. Glenbrook School will always hold a special place in my heart, and I will continue to wear my Glenbrook Grizzly gear with pride.
Respectfully,
Tracey Bombard
