Hello Glenbrook Families!
Happy New Year! We hope you had a joyful and restful holiday season with family and friends. As we begin the new calendar year of 2026, we are excited to welcome our students back to school and continue building on the great learning and growth we’ve achieved together.
The new year brings fresh opportunities for curiosity, creativity, and connection. Our staff is ready to support every student in reaching their goals and making this term a successful and rewarding experience.
Please remember to check your email and our school website for upcoming events, important dates, and any updates. If you have questions or need assistance, don’t hesitate to reach out to the office—we are here to help.
Thank you for your continued partnership and commitment to our school community. Let’s make 2026 a year of learning, kindness, and success!
Warm regards,
Cindy & Tracey

Seven Sacred Teachings - Respect
Next week, students in Kindergarten to Grade 6 will be learning about Respect through the lens of the Seven Sacred Teachings, which are foundational Indigenous teachings that guide how we live in relationship with ourselves, others, and the world around us. The Seven Sacred Teachings (Love, Respect, Courage, Honesty, Wisdom, Humility, and Truth) help our students understand the importance of kindness, empathy, and responsibility. Through age-appropriate discussions, stories, and classroom activities, students will explore what respect looks like in their words and actions, how it connects to caring for others and the environment, and how it helps build safe, inclusive, and welcoming classrooms for everyone.
Glenbrook Swag
Check out our school-themed merchandise and show your school pride.
We are excited to announce that our school's online apparel story is up and running! Students were involved in choosing colors and designing the new logo for our Glenbrook Grizzlies.
To view the online store at: https://rm-apparel.square.site/
Once on the RM Apparel screen, select the Glenbrook Grizzlies icon and you will be able to select and order your school gear. Items range from T-shirts to hoodies to hats and sweatpants.
All items are ordered directly from the online store and delivered to the school for distribution.
We can't wait to see all the new school gear in the school hallways!
Grizzlies Handbell Band
Student volunteers in Grades 4, 5 and 6 have begun learning proper technique for handbells in the Grizzlies Handbell Band during Wednesday lunches. We are looking forward to performing for the school community in the Spring!
School Council Message
Thank you to parents, students and caregivers for your great work in raising close to $2500 to put towards our playground revitalization project. For everyone who helped organize the fundraisers and coordinate distribution, your help is greatly appreciated. Our next parent council meeting is on January 19 at 7:00PM. We will be meeting virtually so if you are interested in learning more about your school, helping with upcoming fundraisers or the playground committee the council meetings are a great way to get involved. We hope to see you there!
Healthy Hunger
Our next Healthy Hunger Fun Lunch is Domino’s Pizza on January 28. Order cut off date is Friday, Jan. 23.
Healthy Hunger is an easy online fundraising program that lets parents order special hot lunches and treats for their children while supporting our school. A portion of every order goes directly back to Glenbrook, helping fund activities and resources for our students.
