Pink Shirt Day— Wednesday, February 28
Please join us by wearing a PINK shirt! The focus of this day is to remind students of the importance of working together and treating others with dignity and respect Twenty students from Grade 5 and 6 wrote letters about how they are a leader at Glenbrook school and how they show kindness each and every day. These 20 students will be attending the TELUS Be Brave Hitmen game on February 28 to learn more about Kindness and Leadership and bring these messages back to Glenbrook School.
New Website
Glenbrook has a new website. One great feature of the new website is our new and improved calendar. Have a look here, link to it and make sure you stay informed with all of the happenings at our wonderful school.
Reminders
Morning Entry Reminder
This is a reminder that the school provides soft entry at 9:00 am. Please be aware that if students arrive earlier than 9:00 am. they will NOT be supervised. We welcome students into the school from 9:00 am onwards and we begin our instruction promptly at 9:10 am. Please ensure that your child enters school through their designated entry/exit door and is not using the main entrance. If your child is regularly late for school, we ask that you to consider dropping them off earlier so that they are not missing curriculum. IMPORTANT: Any late students should enter the school through the main entrance and come to the office for a Welcome Slip before heading to their classroom.

Scholastic Book Fair
We are excited to announce that our school will be hosting a Scholastic Book Fair, which will take place from Monday March 18 to Friday March 22.
The Scholastic Book Fair empowers our students to choose books they love, and with so many options, they’re sure to find themselves in the pages. This year’s Fair is going to be epic, but we need volunteers to make it happen. We hope that you can offer your time and talents to help students become bolder, prouder, and stronger readers—which in turn makes them bolder, prouder, and stronger individuals. And since every purchase benefits our school, helping is twice as rewarding.
If you’re available to lend a hand at this upcoming event, please contact Raylene Montgomery, School Library Assistant at ramontgomery@cbe.ab.ca. Please share which shifts you are available for and how many you can do.
