Hello Glenbrook Families!
Well, we are definitely in June... the days have been hot, the students are excited, and the lessons are getting harder and harder to teach with the enticement of summer and vacation days on the horizon. June brings with it so much anticipation of wrapping things up, celebration and the excitement of planning ahead for next year. We also know that this can find us with relationship challenges with competition in games, and relationships wearing thin some days. I am proud to share that many of our students have been making good choices and demonstrating leadership at this time of the year. At times it can be difficult for children to remain regulated these days at school for varying reasons. We have focused on kindness and leadership this school year as these are life skills to hone. We will continue to encourage students to build positive relationships, connect, and solve problems when needed.
Warm regards,
Cindy & Tracey

School Council Message
Meeting
Please join us on Monday, June 16 at 7:00 pm for our last school council meeting of the year. School council meetings are more than just administrative gatherings—they’re a way for parents to make a tangible difference in the school environment and, ultimately, in their child’s educational experience, so we encourage all parents and guardians to attend. We will be hearing an update from Principal Palmer and Assistant Principal Bombard, as well as discussing year end plans, next year's plans and our playground rebuild. School Council plays a vital role in creating a thriving school community, and we're gearing up for the next school year! To continue our work, we’re seeking enthusiastic parent volunteers to step into key roles: Chair, Vice Chair, Fun Lunch Coordinator, and Fundraising Coordinator.
If you’re passionate about supporting our school and want to make a difference, we’d love to hear from you. Together, we can ensure another successful year for our students!
Casino Volunteers Needed
Our casino fundraiser is happening on Friday, November 7, and Saturday, November 8 at Cowboys Casino, and we need your help! There are several volunteer roles available, including banker, chip runner, count room, and cashier. No experience is required—our Casino Advisor and a team of three trainers will be there to guide and support us in our roles. Casinos generate over $60,000 for our school, making this fundraiser essential. All proceeds will go toward our playground rebuild project, so filling every position is crucial!
There are three shift options each day, and you’re welcome to sign up for multiple shifts or even volunteer on both days. However, if you do, you must remain in the same role throughout.
Join us in making a difference—sign up today.
Fun Lunch
Our last fun lunch of this school year is A&W on Thursday, June 19, 2025. Parents/guardians must go to Healthy Hunger to purchase your child’s lunch by Saturday, June 14, 2025. Students who have not purchased online will not be receiving a fun lunch. If your student is not in attendance on the day of Fun Lunch you can call the school office to arrange for pick up or let the school know if they can donate the lunch.
Volunteer Opportunity
Making fun lunches happen is a team effort, and we need your help! Volunteering to hand out lunches takes just one hour of your time, yet it makes a big difference for our students and staff. If you’re available, we’d love for you to join us in creating a smooth and enjoyable lunch experience. It’s a simple way to contribute and connect with our school community.
Playground Rebuild Project Update
We have two parent volunteers working hard behind the scenes applying for grants and sponsorships to help us reach our goal of $400,000 to build our new playground. We have not secured any funding yet but are hopeful that we will be selected for a number of grants and sponsorships. If you know of any corporate sponsorship opportunities, please contact Michelle or Jane at glenbrookpc@gmail.com with the information. If you would like to help with grant writing or sponsorship applications, please feel free to reach out!
Amazon Teacher Wish List
Our teachers work tirelessly to provide the best education and care for our children, often going above and beyond to ensure their classrooms are inspiring and equipped for learning.
