Hello Glenbrook Families!

March is a month full of new beginnings, as nature begins to wake up from its winter slumber and spring approaches. To all the parents out there, remember that just like the season, you too have the power to nurture growth, embrace change, and inspire your children. This month, let’s focus on patience, perseverance, and hope—qualities that will help both you and your children blossom.

Keep encouraging curiosity, offering support, and celebrating the little victories. You are shaping the future, and every step, no matter how small, is a step forward. March is a reminder that progress, no matter the pace, is still progress. Keep moving forward with love and dedication. You've got this!

Inspiration

“The greatest gift you can give your children is the roots of responsibility and the wings of independence." – Denis Waitley

Weekly Wonder

Take a moment this week to encourage your child to wonder about something new. It could be as simple as asking questions about how plants grow or what makes the sky blue. Embrace their curiosity and explore the world together. Wonder is the spark that fuels discovery—so ignite it and watch them grow.

Updates and Administrivia

School Conferences

School Conferences will be held online:

  • Thursday March 20 – 5:10 PM - – 7:50 PM
  • Friday, March 21 – 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM

We are excited to celebrate the success of our Glenbrook students. Parent-Teacher Conferences are one of the ways teachers communicate how your child is progressing in their learning. Teachers may also share learning progress through your child’s daily work and assignments, and other ongoing communication with you.

Our next round of Student Learning Conferences will take place during the evening of March 20 and the morning of March 21, 2025. This year the March conferences will be held online. You will receive a sign up link on Friday, March 14 to sign up for a conference with your child’s teacher. The online booking portal will close on Wednesday March 19 at 11:59 PM.

Please remember to sign up for a MyCBE Account to book a Conference time and to view other online documents. Conference meetings will not be booked through the school office.

Planning for Next School Year

In preparation for the 2025 - 2026 school year, we are asking that parents/guardians of students from kindergarten to Grade 5 complete this short survey regarding their plans for their children's education for the 2025 - 2026 school year. This will help us with making planning decisions for the upcoming school year. Thank you in advance! The link was also sent out on March 12 via School Messenger.

School Development Plan Engagement Survey

The SDP Engagement Survey is in place to provide feedback from families on school planning, which includes the school development plan, school budget, and school fees. When students, staff and families work together, students experience greater success. This is also where you can give your feedback about clubs, fieldtrips and other activities. It will take approximately 5-10 minutes to complete. We thank in advance for taking part in the survey.

Our School Development Plan can be found on our website here:  Our School

We appreciate all of your responses and welcome your feedback.
