Hello Glenbrook Families,

Next week the weather is warmer and it finally feels like summer is not too far away. We plan to enjoy this beautiful spring weather and be outside and enjoying the day through physical activity and land-based learning.  How will you enjoy the weather?

Once again, thank you for your continued support every day!

Enjoy your weekend everyone.

Take care,
Cindy

“Weekly Wonder"

How will you prioritize self-care and family-care this weekend?

Connection Corner

  • Thank you to the parent volunteers this week. We couldn’t have run our Kindergarten field trip to the Little Red Reading House without you!
  • A huge thank you to Mrs. Weber, retiree, who supported us in the office while Mrs. Bombard was away.  Mrs. Bombard is returning May 27.
  • Mrs. Barber will be heading off to her maternity leave starting May 27. In her absence Mrs. Renata Hornich will be working in the classroom.  We wish Mrs. Barber well on her new journey for next year!

Reminders:

Footwear:

Students must have two pairs of footwear at school each day.  One of the pairs is for indoor use and the other for outdoor use.  The indoor shoes should have non-marking soles that they could use in the Physical Education program. As snow, dirt and mud in our hallways and classrooms creates a safety hazard, we ask that outdoor footwear be removed at the students’ entrance. Platform shoes, roller shoes, flip-flops, soccer cleats, etc. are not acceptable for safety reasons.

School Council Message:

Meeting

Please join us for our last School Council and Fundraising Society meetings of the year on Monday, June 17 at 7:00 pm at the school. School council meetings are a great way to hear the latest updates from the principal and share ideas with other parents. We will be planning ahead for next school year and discussing playground building details and how to spend our fundraising dollars.

Fun lunch

Our next fun lunch is Edo on Thursday, June 20. Parents/guardians must go to www.healthyhunger.ca to purchase your child’s lunch by Saturday, June 15. Students who have not purchased online will not be receiving a fun lunch. If your student is not in attendance on the day of Fun Lunch you can call the school office to arrange for pick up. If they do not hear from you, they will donate the lunch.

Mabel's Labels

Did you know that we have an ongoing fundraiser with Mabel's Labels? These amazing labels are dishwasher and laundry safe, last forever and come in lots of fun designs.
