Veteran’s Food Bank Boxes
Students and families are asked to donate non-perisle food items for the Veteran’s Food Bank. Please drop off any non-perishable donations in the boxes outside the office in the brown boxes. Please speak to your children about why this is an important act.
A list of items required by the Food Bank can be found on the Veterans Food Bank of Alberta website.
Food Security for our Veterans to strive to restore dignity to all who use the service and assistance is not pre-defined. Clients are able to shop for themselves to ensure they receive exactly what they need, and enough to cover 10-14 days of food for their situation.
Clients can, in discussions with food bank volunteers, shop as one would in a store. This allows clients to select specific items for themselves and their families. This is prudent if you are a diabetic or have gluten-free requirements
