Hello Glenbrook Families!

As we transition into this beautiful season of fall, we find ourselves being surrounded by vibrant colors and the crispness of cooler air - a reminder of the beauty that comes with change. This season invites us to reflect, recharge, and reconnect with ourselves, each other and our community. It also reminds us that we must take joy in every moment. Take time to enjoy the beautiful sunrise skies we have been enjoying as we head to school each day. Celebrate the beauty of our school community and the many ways we support one another. Each of you plays such an important role in nurturing a positive environment where our students can thrive.

Fall is my favorite season, the changing colors, the crunch of leaves underfoot, the dark and moody skies and the crisp morning air... I have always loved this time of year and even though it seems to be gone and blanketed with snow almost as quickly as it came, it still makes my heart happy every morning. As leaves begin to fall and the days grow shorter, let us embrace the warmth of our connections. Whether through volunteering, participating in school events, or simply sharing a smile, each act fosters a spirit of unity and hope.

We loved seeing the fun community atmosphere we had with Food Trucks along with our teacher meetings, it felt like a community event. This really is such an amazing community! Thank you for being an essential part of our Glenbrook story. Together, let’s celebrate the changing season and the strength of our community. As we head toward Thanksgiving there are so many moments of joy, gratitude, and thankfulness that we can appreciate if we remember to take the time to truly see. Share them out – spread the joy!

Meeting Information

Please note that our next meeting has been rescheduled to Tuesday, October 22 at 7:00 pm. As always, all parents and guardians are encouraged to attend. We have a few positions that need to be filled, such as playground committee chair, casino coordinator and vice chair. There is no obligation to take on one of these roles, you can just come and listen! If you would like to get involved but are unable to attend the meeting, please contact us at glenbrookpc@gmail.com

Our next big project is building a new playground, as our current playground has reached the end of its life. A new playground will cost us approximately $300,000. This is money that needs to be raised by parents through fundraising and grants.  The CBE will tear down our existing playground whether or not we are ready to build a new one.  If you have any corporate donor connections or experience with grant writing, PLEASE reach out!

Fun Lunch

Our next fun lunch is Subway on Thursday, October 17.  Parents/guardians must go to Healthy Hunger to purchase your child’s lunch by Saturday, October 12.  Students who have not purchased online will not be receiving a fun lunch.  If your student is not in attendance on the day of Fun Lunch you can call the school office to arrange for pick up.  If they do not hear from you, they will donate the lunch.

All fun lunches for the school year are now set up on Healthy Hunger.  You can order one at a time, a few at a time, or for the whole year!  Please note that December's fun lunch will be on the third Wednesday of the month (18) rather than the normal Thursday.
