Dear Glenbrook Families;
As we wrap up the final week of February, we want to extend our gratitude to our students, staff, and families for the positive energy, hard work, and community spirit that continue to shine throughout Glenbrook School.
This week brought a wonderful mix of learning, collaboration, and celebration. Students remained focused on Pink Shirt Day activities that focused on kindness, hands‑on activities, and goal‑setting for the weeks ahead. Our teachers continue to be impressed by the curiosity and perseverance shown across all grade levels.
Thank you to families for your ongoing support—whether through helping with home routines, attending school events, or staying connected with classroom updates. Your partnership makes a meaningful difference.
As we look ahead to March, we’re excited for upcoming learning opportunities, spring activities, and the gradual shift toward longer, sunnier days here in Calgary. Please keep an eye out for event reminders and important dates as we make our way to spring break.
Wishing all of our Glenbrook students and families a warm, safe, and successful start to March!
With appreciation,
Cindy & Diana
School Council Stuffy Fundraiser:
The amazing Mr. Perry has once again created three crocheted stuffed animals that will be raffled off to our students. All funds will help with the procurement of our new school playground. Tickets are $2 each or 3 for $5. Mrs. Palmer and some leadership students will sell the tickets all week. The draw will take place next Monday, March 9. (Raffle License # 77248)
Math and Literacy Games
School Council has provided our school with a variety of math and literacy games. We have put them into bags, and we have put them into our library Catalogue. Mrs. Montgomery has been talking to all the classes about these games and next week we will let students sign them out for a one-week loan. These games are intended to be played with families at home and a fun way to connect.
If you would like a game, you could also send Mrs. Montgomery a message at ramontgomery@cbe.ab.ca.
Please make sure all the game's pieces and items are back in the bag before returning it back to the school.
Glenbrook Swag:
Check out our school-themed merchandise and show your school pride.
We are excited to announce that our school's online apparel story is up and running! Students were involved in choosing colors and designing the new logo for our Glenbrook Grizzlies.
To view the online store at: https://rm-apparel.square.site/
Once on the RM Apparel screen, select the Glenbrook Grizzlies icon and you will be able to select and order your school gear. Items range from T-shirts to hoodies to hats and sweatpants.
All items are ordered directly from the online store and delivered to the school for distribution.
We can't wait to see all the new school gear in the school hallways!!
Owl’s Nest Book Fair
I’m excited to announce that our school will be hosting a NEW Book Fair this year from Owl’s Nest which is local company to Calgary, it will take place from March 16 – March 20 at Glenbrook School. This is an excellent fundraiser for our wonderful Library.
The Owl’s Nest Book Fair empowers our students to choose books they love, and with so many options, they’re sure to find themselves in the pages. This year’s Fair is going to be amazing, but we need volunteers to make it happen. We hope that you can offer your time to help and since every purchase benefits our school, helping is twice as rewarding.
If you’re available to lend a hand at this upcoming event, please contact me (see email below) and share which shifts you are available for and how many you can do.

Report Cards
Report cards are a valuable tool that help you understand your child’s progress, celebrate their growth, and identify areas where additional support may be helpful. Reviewing the report card together can also spark meaningful conversations about learning goals and next steps for your child.
Report cards will be available online on February 24 through your parent MYCBE account. After May 29, 2026, all Semester 1 reports cards will no longer be available for viewing, downloading and/or printing. We encourage all families to log in, take some time to look through the information provided, and reach out to your child’s teacher if you have any questions or would like to discuss anything in more detail.
