Dear Glenbrook Families,
As we reach September 21, the last day of summer, we begin to notice the changing season all around us. The days are becoming shorter, mornings are cooler, and the beautiful colours of autumn are starting to appear throughout our community. This seasonal transition reminds us of the importance of embracing change, celebrating new beginnings, and appreciating the opportunities each day brings.
With cooler weather arriving, we encourage families to help students come prepared each day with layers, jackets, and appropriate outdoor clothing. Fresh air and outdoor play remain an important part of the school day, and students enjoy spending time outside during recess and lunch whenever weather conditions permit. Today was a gorgeous day and such beautiful warm weather.
September has been filled with excitement as students settle into routines, build new friendships, and engage in meaningful learning experiences. Classrooms are buzzing with curiosity, creativity, and a growing sense of community. We are proud of how our students have embraced the start of the school year and demonstrated kindness, respect, and responsibility throughout the school.
As always, thank you for your continued partnership and support. Together, we create a welcoming and caring environment where every student can learn, grow, and thrive. We look forward to all the opportunities and adventures that the fall season will bring.

Orange Shirt Day
Orange Shirt Day is a time to recognize and honour the resilience, cultures, and lived experiences of Indigenous children, families, and residential school survivors. We also remember the children who never returned home and reflect on the lasting impacts of residential schools.
The orange shirt is a meaningful symbol that reminds us of the importance of truth, reconciliation, and the belief that Every Child Matters. We encourage all students and staff to wear an orange shirt on Tuesday, September 29.

This Thursday is our Playground Grand Opening and Food Truck Meet the Teacher Night!
To make these events happen, we need your help! Whether you can come early to help with set-up, stay a little later for clean-up, or lend a hand somewhere in between, every bit of help is appreciated.
