Dear Glenbrook Families;
As we move into mid-April, we are beginning to see signs of spring – finally! The days are getting longer, the snow is melting, and we’re starting to enjoy slightly warmer temperatures—though we all know Calgary weather can still be unpredictable!
With the changing season, students are spending more time outdoors for learning activities, and physical education classes. We encourage families to continue sending children dressed in layers so they can comfortably adjust throughout the day. Some mornings are still quite cool, while afternoons can feel much warmer. Waterproof footwear and jackets are also helpful, as melting snow often means puddles on the playground.
Please remember to label personal items such as sweaters, hoodies, and jackets, as they are often shed during the day and can be difficult to reunite with their owners. If your child is missing any items, please remember to check the Lost and Found.
Spring is an exciting time at school, full of renewed energy and learning opportunities. Thank you, as always, for your continued support in helping us keep students safe, comfortable, and ready to learn as we welcome this seasonal transition.
With appreciation,
Cindy & Diana
Math and Literacy Games
School Council has provided our school with a variety of math and literacy games. We have put them into bags, and we have put them into our library Catalogue. Mrs. Montgomery has been talking to all the classes about these games and next week we will let students sign them out for a one-week loan. These games are intended to be played with families at home and a fun way to connect.
If you would like a game, you could also send Mrs. Montgomery a message at ramontgomery@cbe.ab.ca.
Please make sure all the game's pieces and items are back in the bag before returning it back to the school.
Attention Grade 6 Students and Parents
AE Cross has tentatively scheduled their Open House for April 16. Please see their Open House flyer here: AE Cross Open House
