Dear Glenbrook School families,

Our current playground will begin its removal in June with the new playground build starting in July. This project will continue throughout the summer with a portion that requires many volunteers mid-August.

We are very fortunate to begin this project this year, and build a new playground, but I need parents and our community to pull together to make 100% of this project happen.

I need your help. We need your help! There is an urgent need for volunteers to complete the site rehab work which will take place mid-August, tentatively from August 10-16. The job entails physical labor spreading loam (dirt), seed and laying sod. I am hoping to get as many people as I can! If this work is too laborious, I can use help over the summer to water the site rehab area, which is critical to the repair and maintenance of the fresh sod and seed. I need at least 20 volunteers who can commit to work for a full day. Without volunteers it becomes a challenge for us which may pose issues in completing our build.

More people = less work and time! Please let me know as early as possible if you, a neighbor(s), and/or friends are able to help. Send me an email at glenbrookplayground@gmail.com with your contact information, how many days you’re available to volunteer and if you are offering help with the site rehab or the maintenance work.

The impact of our volunteers will be seen and felt by everyone involved with this extensive project. Your consideration and time to help with this project is appreciated beyond words!

Sincerely,

Michelle
